Davide Notte

Municipal Project Manager & Senior Designer

P.L.Eng., AScT, CCA

Davide Notte is a Senior Engineering Technologist with over 25 years of experience providing Project Management, Contract Administration, and Municipal engineering to a variety of small to mid-sized municipalities, predominantly within the Okanagan Valley.   His experience includes project management, conceptual/preliminary/detailed design, estimating/procurement, contract preparation, contract administration, report writing, and construction facilitation/implementation.

Davide has managed, designed, administered and inspected many projects including road rehabilitation, transit designs, Highway widenings/improvements, sanitary collection main extensions, sanitary forcemain upgrades, sanitary lift station improvements, watermain distribution & transmission extensions, SWM ponds, drainage upgrades, active transportation & multi-use corridors, as well as commercial developments and multi-family developments.

Davide is a member of the Applied Science Technologists and Technicians Association of BC and has been a Certified Contract Administrator since 2013.  With his excellent design skills, vast construction knowledge, contract understanding and pride in service/value, Davide always delivers his best to his valued clients.

Davide enjoys spending time with his wife & children and is an avid hockey & soccer player.  Davide also tries hard to make time for his vehicle restoration and home improvement projects.

Simon Davis

Municipal Project Manager & Designer

NZCE

Simon Davis is a Senior Civil Engineering Technologist with over 25 years of experience ranging from Survey, Inspection, Project Management, Contract Administration, to Civil Design.
Simon gained the New Zealand Certificate of Engineering (civil) certification from the Otago Polytechnic in Dunedin New Zealand in 1998 having already completed 3 years of survey and hydrology work for the Canterbury Regional Council. From there he travelled the world and worked in London England, as a Project Manager / Site Engineer for several years. Moving back to New Zealand in 2001 Simon joined Imtech Limited in Queenstown as a Municipal Technologist. There he gained experience on the Local Government side and further developed design and contract supervision skills.
In 2003, Simon and his Wife Jenn, moved from New Zealand to Canada where they quickly established themselves in Kelowna BC. Simon’s initial roles in Kelowna include Designer / Surveyor / Civil Inspector and eventually moved to a role of predominately design and project management.
Simon is well known through the municipal communities and has gained a reputation for reliability, problem solving, accessibility, and determination to ensure clients projects succeed.
Simon joined the ALIGN team having worked alongside all the other partners of the firm previously with a fresh vigor and is really enjoying the new challenge.
Simon has two boys with his Wife Jenn, and they love to spend time outside, be it at soccer games, camping, mountain biking, boating, Big White or just sharing a back yard swim with friends.

Tom Baumgartner

Senior Transportation Engineer

MSc, P.Eng., RSP

Tom Baumgartner is a Senior Transportation Engineer and Road Safety Professional with over 15 years of experience providing transportation engineering support to municipalities to establish and maintain a safe and efficient multi-modal transportation system. His focus on small and mid-sized municipalities led to the development of cost-effective strategies and policies to engage with the community, manage development impacts, prioritize infrastructure investments, and address road safety issues.
Tom has conducted and managed projects on road safety reviews, planning and design of pedestrian and cycling facilities, transit exchange design, neighbourhood traffic calming studies, transportation master planning, transportation bylaws and policies, development impacts on transportation, and traffic management plans for construction.
Tom has been an active member of the Transportation Association of Canada (TAC) through his involvement on numerous committees and leading various transportation projects. He served as the President of the BC Interior Section of the Canadian Institute of Transportation Engineers (CITE) from 2019 though 2020.
In his spare time, Tom enjoys spending time outdoors whether he is barbequing, exploring the backcountry, or riding bikes with his boys.

Owen Morton

Civil Engineer

P.Eng.

Owen Morton is a Civil Engineer, providing project management and engineering services on municipal and land development projects. His experience includes project management and design of water distribution, storm and sewer systems, pumping stations, roadways and residential subdivisions. Owen is also experienced in contract administration, construction inspection, modelling and Civil 3D design.
Owen has been involved in a variety of infrastructure projects and has led multi-disciplined design teams to successful project completion for many satisfied clients. He has recently managed and designed several pump station projects in the Okanagan.
With his strong communication and organizational skills, combined with his technical capabilities, Owen takes pride in providing the highest standard of service to clients while providing quality solutions on their municipal and land development projects.
Owen enjoys getting outside while hiking, biking, snowshoeing, snowboarding, boating and camping.  Owen also enjoys rec sports, renovating and spending quality time with friends and family.
